It’s the benchmark hot sub for any chain. Thin-sliced steak, grilled onions and peppers, and white American melted in. Jersey Mike’s uses real steak — not processed beef – and the flat-top technique gives it char without drying it out. If Jersey Mike’s can do this right, they can do everything right. And they do it right.
For heat seekers: Big Kahuna. Mushrooms, jalapeños, extra toppings – it’s the fully loaded version and genuinely one of the better-built hot subs in fast casual.
For chicken: Chipotle Chicken Cheese Steak edges out the plain Chicken Philly. The Chipotle mayo adds a smoky layer that makes the whole build more interesting.
Hot Sub Ordering Hacks:
- Mike’s Way on hot subs – not standard but available at most locations. The vinegar cut on a Philly Cheese Steak is a real upgrade. Ask for it.
- Sub in a Tub (hot) – any hot sub without bread, served in a bowl. Same price. Works especially well with the Philly Cheese Steak.
